CheapOair

Has anyone ever used cheapoair to book flights. I saw some last minute prices that almost sounded to good.
DonDiego has not used the services of CheapOAir.
Apparently some folks have been displeased with the firm however: CheapOAir Complaints and Reviews

DonDiego does not know buff13815's precise travel plans, but he can relate what DonDiego does when planning to fly.

DonDiego goes to CheapTickets.com to look for good fares and connections and dates. He finds their web-site very useful for comparing available fares/flights/airlines over a span of a few days to find the lowest price which he can fit into his schedule.
So far, whenever DonDiego has found a good deal on CheapTickets he has been able to find the same exact flight and fare at the actual airline web-site and booked directly with the airline, thereby avoiding any problems with an intermediary.

DonDiego wishes buff13815 "Good Luck !"
I used Cheapoair.com last year on a flight from Ireland to Italy. No problems.

O'CheapOair?

Personally, I avoid third party bookings for air and rooms. I've always been able to find comparable fares booking through the airlines and hotels with little effort. If you need to make changes, this can be trouble. Also, booking rooms through a third party eliminates any possability of being comped.

Good Luck!

+1. I do use kayak.com a lot to find low fares though, and go back to the airline's site to grab my flight. Also, on my last 3 trips to Vegas, I booked my flights one way at a time vs. round trip. Last year, I got a $79 one way fare (Continental) & a $114 one way fare (Southwest) from Raleigh-Durham to LAS. Last week, I got a one way fare from RDU to LAS for $128 on Delta. I could find no other round trip fares less than $360. I'm sure results would vary depending on where you are flying from or to, but this could help.

While I use Kayak to find airline prices and then book directly with the airlines (usually many airlines have the lowest prices) I am not as lucky with hotel rooms. I find the third party sites offer much better hotel deals than the actual hotel sites. I usually look at the low end hotels (like downtown), they do not have a price matching guarantees. I don't gamble enough to be comped so I get better deals through the third party sites.

There are many advantages to booking directly with the hotel, it is a lot easier to change and confirm your reservation for one (I notice some people encountering change or confirmation problems when booking through third party sites). On some third party sites they require you to pay upfront (booking directly, most hotels only charge the first night until you check in). as someone also mentioned with third party bookings you don't have the opportunity to get comps or reduced charges due to your play.

I think everyone is different, some people rather deal directly with the hotel while others like me go through third party sites to save a few bucks.

I agreee with Makikiboy and TylerH50.

I often check both the travel sites for a package because it can be cheaper and also any deals for rooms I get along with booking my own airfare with the airlines directly. Its just depends I think overall. This time I bokked a room seperatly because of a deal and then booked 2 diffrent flights one through Delta to LAS and US Airways back home. The total price is much cheaper then the travel sites and you cant forget the comps with booking the room or any promations you might get such as dining credit or gaming credits.

But, Ive never had a problem with a third party and Ive used several.
I too usually use the travel sites as a guide for prices then go throught the airline sites to book. I very seldom by a round trip ticket as it is cheaper to buy 2 one ways on different airlines. I am in central NY and have checked every airport in NY and tickets prices are just very high no matter what week I check. I am not willing to go to NYC as it is just to hard and to much of a hassle to get to. Prices have been running a little over 200 each way at all other airports. I have 1 trip booked in august. The reason I inquired about cheapo was because I saw a last minute deal for 280 round trip out of syracuse and it seemed to good to be true. Syracuse by the way is usually the most expensive airport in NY at least for vegas.
