Definitely all time cheesy. One of my wifes favorite movies and somehow we use that line as a little inside joke/communication btwee ourselves when certain situations arise,always funny.

Just go and rent "Top Gun". While the footage of the dog fights was stunning, the writing was as cheesy as you can get.

"Back to School" is one cheesy line after another, and nobody could do 'em better than Rodney Dangerfield.
