Chicago Bears: Losing Games & Dealing Cocaine !

Chicago Bears wide receiver Sam Hurd has just been arrested for various counts of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and maryjane.

Here is a small excerpt from one of the news articles:

"Hurd told the agent that he was interested in buying 5 to 10 kilograms of cocaine and 1,000 pounds of marijuana each week to distribute in the Chicago area, the complaint said. He said that he and a co-conspirator distributed about four kilos of cocaine every week, but that their supplier could not keep up with his demands, the complaint alleges."

In the "you could have knocked me over with a feather" department, Hurd played 5 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys before joining the Bears.

1000 pounds a week? 2 tons a month? Holy crap. That is some big operation.

He needs the money.
His contract is a paltry 1 million. <sic>

I think Sam thought that when Jerry told him that he needed to score that he was thinking of drugs!
