Chicago violence

And still waiting......
PJ- a quote for you to ponder- "Complaining about a problem without proposing a solution is called whining" - Teddy Roosevelt.
The Sumer I was 18, I worked at Sears. There was this black girl I went to school with. There was a policy due to theft to not return Levi's without a receipt for cash. This is small Midwest town. We were also not supposed to call the managers each time. The girl would have her cousins come in, grab a fistful of granny bras by any size for $20-30, lay them on the counter and say return these. Not even act like they bought them. No bag or anything. I would argue with the Levi's return for 30 minutes, it would escalate, then the managers would just do the return. Obviously, I didn't even make it to summers end. The girl had worked there for like 2-3 years and would tell them if they fired her, she would call NAACP. They never did fire her. And this was mid 90s

Here in vegas, I stopped in a less than desirable grocery at maybe 7pm, but dark. I was checking out whatever I was grabbing and a black guy just walked out the for door carrying a case of beer on his shoulder. The security guard, managers and workers were just shrugging their shoulders saying we don't get paid enough to deal with this crap. Yes, the next year this store was closed.

We cannot have a lawful and safe society and keep on with this kind of public policy of race baiting.

As for gary Indiana, I would assume that everyone is aware at one point this was the murder capitol of America.

I have only glanced at some posts at this point. I can't deal with the non stop political crap. I cannot believe the conversations I am having with people I know. This has made everyone crazy, but when I realized trump wasn't a joke and this was real I had said initially my vote was "for the joke" because I would not be back doored by Washington and was sending a message....do your job or we will vote in someone to send a message the status quo is done. I think Washington should not have called. America was not bluffing. Do I think trump has issues, yes. Do I think he is smart and has good intentions, yes. Do I think he is qualified and a scholar of law and politics, no. Same for foreign affairs. Is he a smart business man, yes. I do love that he is coming in and going no holds barred. This was what we wanted to tell Washington. And here's the thing, if they impeach him (and I'm really tired of entrapment because you don't like someone or false accusations. Bill Clinton did have sexual relations with that woman, but I always asserted they didn't have the right to ask)....guess what, mike pence is their nightmare and he is a policitican. Trump knew that and was smart for picking pence. The "liberals" don't want a "conservative" in the White House for nothing and he will be emboldened by this trump situation to know that he might as well do what he wants because there is no walking away from this mess at this point. Just walk through the flames.

I didn't start this thread, doc. Can you please forward to the person who did?

And For your own benefit - research what Teddy Rosevelt said about sexual frustration

PJ- let's try and stay on the topic - all you do is bitch and moan while NEVER offering solutions. Quit your whining.
Let me also say that I know a white family with four boys and a girl. Every member of that family has been in and out of prison my entire life for b and e, drugs, domestics, etc. the white families and the black families both had the same lifestyles, but as I said the white family had to hide their crap and did go to prison. Less members of the black families have served time and they don't hide the crimes. This is the "systemic" racism, not the other way around.

But my first point was to say that White people do commit just as many crimes as black people. They just have to hide it better. Again, my perspective is midwest mayberries. Although have lived in vegas for 14 years and very familiar with inner cities for work. I have been in camden, Compton, lost in Chicago, Newark, NYC, philly, D.C. . I drove into NYC by myself at midnight at 20, getting lost prior to GPS.

Btw, just watched season six of shameless. Funniest, most observant, best show of systemic poverty, mental health, addiction and inner city ever.
Let's take Pike, since you know it, which is comprised of 89% minority students. Far more than 11% of the teachers are white. My friends who teach in my Indiana town have friends at Pike, and the Pike teachers claim that it sucks. The black kids run right over the white teachers (especially female), and the board doesn't do anything about it.

This place in a training ground for BLM, and for "Race Card Utilization Training". Getting an education beyond ebonics.............not so much. These kids must be required to speak proper English while in school, for example, if we ever hope to find these kids getting decent jobs.

It's all about accountability for teachers and students. We can't slow things for hard workers to accommodate the lazy. When someone acts up, regardless of color, there must be ramifications. This was not the case in my hometown for many years, as teachers, school management, and the board were scared to death of being tagged racist. The the percentage of black kids utilized the race card daily, and they ran the show. This has changed, and all students are now better off.

We have moved so far to the Left that some believe the concept of corporal punishment is crazy. It's not crazy, and it works. We should instituted such policy once again.

Great - thanks. The failed policy was "nothing" and successful policy can be defined as "something".. What a great education this has been.

So the Black inner-city school teachers are afraid to discipline black students out of fear of being labeld a racist.

Yeah.

Like I said - if you want to understand inner city issues consult a suburban white guy who has no clue what inner city culture is like.

PJ, apparently you've not been paying attention, as I've suggested many things that would help America and especially the inner city. Like Trump policies, you don't consider these ideas serious and credible. Well, Trump and I agree on many things, and we'll soon be finding out what works and what doesn't. Just don't let the high pitched whining from the Left damage your ears in the meantime.

"But my first point was to say that White people do commit just as many crimes as black people."

The black crime rate far exceeds the white crime rate
Lol. You don't know the people I know

Yes, I understand the problems of Inner cities and agree that the "systemic" racism and race baiting is not helping and their leadership, both within their community and outside of it is, has and will continue to fail with the current thinking and leadership.

Again, I would love people to study white poverty and crime a bit. We don't get a month and a pageant. We get people of Walmart Facebook pages. Sorry to be crass, but every once in a while I use the language of the masses . "You can't handle the truth". JAck Nicholson.
