I was at NFL game about 15 years ago. Given overall price rises, I figure he got a small beer and shared a hot dog for his money, and had to take his own peanuts.

America will never elect a president as obese as Christie. Whether they want to say it or not, people see that sort of obesity as meaning the person is weak. It's an immediate judgement. And what poor starving person wants a fat guy representing them? Who was the last fat president we had? Taft? Wasn't he the guy who got stuck in the bathtub.

It's also why the major network news anchors don't have southern accents. People immediately judge that the person is dumber than everyone else.

Teddy Roosevelt wasn't exactly svelte, yet I think he was pretty popular.

if u dig hard enuf, u could probably highlight stuff like that on many elected officials. i sort of like Christie but not enuf to ever vote for him.

Doesn't Pelosi fly home to san fran every weekend on the govt's dime? Maybe that was just when she was the house majority leader. As was just mentioned, I'm sure there's a whole boatload of politicians traveling around on the taxpayers dime.
