Christmas in Vegas...Anyone been?

Thinking of going away for the holidays. First time ever...But I really think it will be a very hard holiday.
Most of the time the wife and I go at Christmas because weather is nice and everything is decked out with Christmas decorations. Crowds are typically less also. We love that time of year in Vegas.
I think you should go, it would be a wonderful distraction for you. From what I have read, I think your brother would say go!

I have been at Christmas and loved it.
What's the weather usually like D?

Yes, the decorations are over the top and you can't ask for better weather for walking.

I've gone the third week in December the last 4 years. It rained once. It snowed lightly two years ago (that was an anomoly). It mostly ranges from 50 - 60. Compared to where you're at in December, it's hot and sunny. It's also a blast. Fewer people...Great Deals...lots of Christmas stuff.

Yes and I'll be there.
I think 60's during the day is average and chilly at night but not sure of the temp.
I'm sure it felt colder than it was. As long as you have a jacket or sweater, etc. you will be fine.
The evening and early morning lows can easily be in the 30s and 40s. Daytime highs are usually in the 60s. As long as there's not a repeat of last years Pineapple Express, the weather should be nice. Last year, it rained a ton during the week before Christmas. Roads were flooded. Mt Charleston and Red Rock Canyon were closed.
Love Las Vegas at Christmas time.
Plenty of Christmas decor for the holiday feeling.
Without all the usual 'stuff' that wears us down at that time.

Might be just what you need right now, Sheltie Lover.

Now we try to do either Thanksgiving or Christmas in Vegas.
Some family had to get over it at first, but they are OK with it now.
One huge chaotic holiday get together a year is enough!

We take gifts over to 'Christmas central' a day or two before we leave.
Then forget about it!!!!!!!!

No tree...no after Christmas cleanup. Yea!
