Too funny. I'm only glad my parents never took me there. I can remember one friend saying it was his favorite pizza. The pizza looked like crap in the commercials.
Since our daughter was born on our third anniversary, we have spent that day at Chuck E Cheese several times. The pizza is crap and the ball bit smells like urine. The only thing they have going for them in their license to sell beer. Luckily, as our daughter has grown, her taste in restaurants has improved quite a bit. This year we got to go to Olive Garden.
Places like Chuck-E-Cheese were sorta cool back in the 80's....holy cow, thats like 30 years ago now. The food always sucked but any place that had an arcade back then was fun. They had all the classic video games - the ones you could stick a quarter in and play for 15 minutes if you were good. Thats gone the way of the DODO bird.
I dont understand the entertainment value of the modern arcade - the ones where you dump $20 into a machine that spits out a random number of tickets that you can trade in for a candy bar. Vegas slot machines are gold mines by comparison.
Boy I can sure remember my duties doing the chuck e cheese bit. Actually it was fun when It was just me my wife and son, because son and I got to hang out and ride rides and play games. It was hell on B-days when we were in charge of 10 other screaming munchkins.
