CIA torture report

Why in the world does anybody think it's a good idea that we release to the world our interogation methods? That being said...

"At least one detainee, accused 9-11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, was sent to Cobalt immediately after being captured in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, in late February 2003 and was subjected to "forced rectal feeding" within two days after his capture. " Underline added by moi.

WTF is rectal feeding and how is it administered? It must've really sucked 'cause I guess KSM folded.

I can only imagine the pre-dining conversation.

CIA:evenin' sheik, hope you're hungry

KSM: uhh..well, depends. What are we having?

CIA:corn!

KSM:canned?

CIA: Nope, fresh...on the cob

KSM:ahh{shudder}ahh

KSM B-B-Butter?

CIA: Nope!
I think it means you can't starve yourself to death. There's no way out.

Ewww. Thank you for that imaginative (and very possibly accurate) interpretation, jatki.

In the end (no pun intended), I think I prefer Snidely’s sanitized summation of events.

It was the corn that did it.

One should note that during the investigation, Democrats didn't interview even one person from the CIA, which assures even the most casual observer that Democrats did not desire the truth. It is important to note that we have a trend of such "limited research". The Benghazi investigators chose not to interview the only three living men who battled at the US Consulate and the CIA Annex, and claim to have been told to "stand down".

It's easy to sit on the sidelines and to harshly review such tactics 13 years after 9/11. These torture tactics, while certainly horrific for the bad guys, saved American lives. Sometimes difficult decisions must be made and unsavory things must be done. Good men made the correct call to gain intelligence and good for them.

"Rectal feeding" is another name for enemas. I personally don't see how that's torture.

This whole report thing is only for partisan posturing. We all know the liberals will claim torture is immoral and it doesn't work and it's not who we are blah blah blah, and the conservatives will say exactly the opposite. Then we're left with what our sense says, and every one of us KNOWS that torture works, it's fair game when we're dealing with barbaric animals completely untied to any human rights conventions who use even worse tactics on their enemies as well as their own people, and we all know that any one of us, including that lying president Obama, would rip off fingernails and cut off genitlals, tongues, fingers & toes in slow motion if necessary in order to locate and save their own loved ones. So kudos to these brave CIA heroes and their bosses like Dick Cheney for looking at this the way those we trust in should: as if every single instance involves them personally. We should be thanking W every day for his support of the program when he found out about it, even to this day.

Instead, we have to listen to democratic pussys lie about everything that happened, along with their own inexperienced guesses about the whole thing.
The commission was a bi-partisan group of Senators from both parties so our resident Fox News viewers once again find themselves unable to discuss politics without fabricating facts. Nobody is challenging the facts found by the committee. The controversy lies in whether or not the government should be transparent about its programs....and whether we should learn from failed policies or allow them to be repeated again. Its amusing (but not the least bit surprising) that people like Boilerman complain about Obama not being transparent ....and then complain when he is.

The entire hawkish-wing completely contradicts themselves on this issue...they say that torture makes us more safe while simultaneously warning everyone the wake of this investigation makes us drastically less safe. Uh....yeah....make up your mind.

The investigation confirms what most people already suspected:
The Bush administration illegally committed war crimes...then they used the bogus intelligence to start an unrelated war in Iraq...and then they lied about it to the AMerican people....and terrorists have since used those war crimes as a recruitment tool to kill US Soldiers

.....and meanwhile Boilerman wants to impeach Obama over a fairy tale he made up about Bengazhi.

A nutrient enema, also known as feeding per rectum, rectal alimentation, or rectal feeding, is an enema administered with the intent of providing nutrition when normal eating is not possible. Although this treatment is ancient, dating back at least to Galen, and commonly used in the Middle Ages, and still a common technique in 19th century medicine. Nutrient enemas have been superseded in modern medical care by tube feeding and intravenous feeding.

A variety of different mixes have been used for nutrient enemas throughout history. A paper published in Nature in 1926 stated that because the rectum and lower digestive tract lack digestive enzymes, it is likely that only the end-products of normal digestion such as sugars, amino acids, salt and alcohol, will be absorbed.

This treatment was given to U.S. President James A. Garfield after his shooting in 1881, and is asserted to have prolonged his life.

Rectal feeding and rectal hydration were mentioned as interrogation techniques in the Senate Intelligence Committee report on CIA torture, released in December 2014.
