I love how the torture method of water-boarding has been swapped out with the more harmless sounding euphemism of "pouring water on someone's face". A couple posters on this board now use that phrase...and I've heard it quite a bit from the Rumsfeld pundits too. I mean, its just water right? its almost like getting baptized or something...whats the big deal?

Do you know what is actually in the Geneva Conventions? It is quite apparent that you don't.

While it is true the Conventions tell us what the rules of warfare are, it also describes who is bound by them and how they must appear to separate themselves from the civilian populace. Our friends in the middle east have been whacking off the heads of captives, which is a big no no according to the conventions and yet you all are silent about it. You are also quiet when "soldiers" are dressed up in womens clothing or use a hospital or school as an ammo dump. However you get all out of shape when a school building gets blown to hell and a few kids get killed by our bombs.

The CIA was given permission by Congress to use Enhanced Interrogation Techniques and last I recall, quite a few Democratic leaders voted FOR the CIA to use them.

This was a purely political report as the Democrats have NO use for a spy agency. They have proven that yet again. (Carter, Clinton, and Obama) Please remember September 11th and exactly who failed to garner the intelligence that could have averted it.

Btw, tell those families who's loved ones lost their heads due to the "humane" treatment by the terrorists that their country would not do everything to get their loved ones home safe..

The Geneva convention was not agreed to on the basis of treating enemy soldiers humanely. it was agreed to on the basis of protecting OUR SOLDIERS in future combat scenarios.

The draft dodging cowards that architected the torture program dont need to worry about getting captured on the battlefield ... and neither do their disciples on this board. In the future when one of our soldiers is tortured the Dick Cheney's of the world can sleep soundly. Thats what trash-talking cowards do - make other people suffer the consequences of their policy.
