Circus Circus...Have they cleaned up their act?

Say what you want about CC, but the one nice thing that I've noticed about it

True Mr. Rick. One should also go watch Diamonds are Forever and see how little the place hasn't changed in the main casino area.

Having said that, we did enjoy our last Retro walk-through visit. Even went upstairs and played some carnival games, give the prize to a little kid who looks upset and make his day!

Have they cleaned up their act? No.
Acquaintances of ours stayed there this past August. They had booked 5 nights, stayed only 1. Room was old, smelly and only clean enough to indicate housekeeping had made an appearance at some point in the past months. When they expressed their concerns at the front desk they received no more than a shrug and a key to an equally unacceptable room. They moved to Bally's the very next day - for $3 a night more than they had been charged for CC. They were quite happy with the room there. Seems like CC hasn't changed much from when we stayed there as Vegas newbies many years ago (and swore that would NEVER happen again!).
Friends don't let friends stay at the CC.

mistrhia: Thanks for the update, think you've confirmed what we all thought.

I don't know if they've improved it or not but the last time I was there the pool looked like something that would be in a housing project- including the "graffitied" elevator that takes you there.

Check out Circus Circus's Facebook page. There is a guy that posted a photo of his hand where he went to unplug a cord from a lamp and the cord was frayed. He got the shocked really bad and his hand is black and blue.

He posted it as a means to try to get the hotel to responde to him as if I remember correctly they refused to admit to any wrong doing and he wants them to pay his medical bills.

I havent been in there since probably 93 or 94 and actually thought about going in there just to see what the dump looks like.
