Citi Card Thank You Points

So I booked a car for our Vegas Trip in November using Citi Card Thank You points with their travel department.
Does anyone know if this covered the taxes, license plate charge, facility charge, etc or if I will need to pay those on top of the points for the weeks rental?
There were no detail included so I could not tell and the rate for an intermediate car, when compared to the Thrifty site, was higher than without those fees and taxes and lower than with them.
Go figure.

This is my first time at using any credit card points for something so all info is appreciated.

Thanks
Carol
I have citicard and I believe those questions may be answered by contacting their 800 number.

I just signed up for a cruise trip with my points and hope I got a good deal.
I've never used Citi Thank You Points for a rental car but I presume it works the same way as credit card airfare - which means the fare and taxes are covered. Insurance? No idea - but most likely rental insurance is covered with your credit card anyway.

Just something I've noticed...rental car prices via credit card points are not discounted very well....everytime I checked it seemed like the point price (translated to dollars) was very high compared to the dollar rate with applicable internet coupons. I usually save all my ThankYou points for Christmas Gift Cards.
Hi CarBurpo,

I have Citi Thank You rewards and have used them several times. As far as car rentals are concerned, when you book a rental with Thank You Rewards it covers all fees except for the added insurance that you can carry when you get to the counter. I am using the rewards for a standard car for $186 for 8 days in October. This is through Thrifty and beats any other rental company by over $100.

Thanks for the responses.
dmjewell. This is what I was hoping to hear! The price I got for a midsize when covering taxes (also on Thrifty) is $50 less than any other way I tried to book.
Good news indeed.

Some of you may want to try the Capital One card. I recieve 2 points for each dollar charged. (I believe citi gives 1 point per dollar) One point = 1 cent for both cards. I then buy my plane ticket, rental car or hotel direct and charge it to the card. Then I submit for reimbursement (they credit my account). This way I can choose any air/car/hotel I want.

Look around because Capital One usually gives new customer bonuses of 25,000 - 50,000 points. I was lucky and got in with a match your airline miles up to 100,000. They gave me $1000 in travel credits with my first charge.

Thank you CitiCard then
I really hate Citi. If you are late with a payment, they call you 5 times a day...starting at 8 am from Florence KY. Worst part was, they were looking for someone else who apparently had my new number. I told them to f off and don't call me again. That didn't stop them until I told them I;m contacting the FCC. Then the calls stopped. I don't even have a Citi card.
