City officials considering performance zones to corral streets

who will manage and enforce the schedules? the majority of these "performers" suck! they are not a draw. who in their right mind would flock to downtown to look at them. maybe once, but not a 2nd time around. they are in the way, causing pedestrian traffic jams and many of them are very loud with their speakers/amplifiers/megaphones, microphones...etc. please go away.

Just another gutless attempt to do the right thing. These cretins have no right or business fouling up Fremont Street with their unwanted presence. They should all be hauled to jail until they get the message that they are not welcome. I wonder just how many of the idiotic liberals who post here would like to have these cretins loitering in front of a business that they owned. Harassing potential customers by begging and standing around in their underwear is sure to be a big help to the business owner. Anyone defending the "rights" of these vermin needs to have their heads examined.

This is an age old topic on this site. Boiler has always argued that these folks creep out lots of people, and this hurts downtown business. Boiler also argues that business owners on Fremont Street deserve some protection from people driving away business. Now I have to leave for my 12:18 tee time. Yipee!

I would love to see them banned from the downtown area. Let them hang out on the strip - I never go there anyway!!

We were downtown last year during the day and didn't see any street performers. We'll be downtown in a few days and staying overnight so we'll get a chance to see what all this hubbub is about.

There are some that a somewhat entertaining but the majority need to get a job and stop the junk ass things they are attempting to con people out of a donation. Fremont Street has gone way down hill the pass 3 years. There is nobody stopping this shit from happening or even attempting to stop it. They simply just walk through the crowd a few times each evening and go about their business. LV police do manage to sit on the front of the cars with arms folded people watching.

They are chasing away business which means they are chasing away jobs. Forkie will now demand a study to prove what you and I already know.

Now is an opportune time for Forkush to do his belated "ghetto walk" - just take a stroll any evening downtown on Fremont street.
