Clumsy casino customers?

Just a general word of caution -- although what has been described here is generally just old people being clumsy, stuff like this is a great distraction tool used by thiefs to get you to turn your attention away long enough to snag your chips, or cash out your machine and run away with your TITO.

I had not thought of that, although I do keep a close count on my chips at a table and have never noticed any missing. From what I remember of the cases I mentioned, there wasn't always someone close enough to me to grab anything.
I watched a news documentary on people who have tried to commit personal injury fraud against casinos. They seem to forget that except for the bathrooms and in guest rooms, that almost every square inch of casinos are covered by closed circuit video cameras. They showed multiple incidents of people faking falls and other fraudulent acts.

They did however show a clip where a woman had two glass doors close on her, when they should have remained open.

They also had a case where a guy claimed he fell in the bathroom, but when they discovered this guy had filed several lawsuits in the past for the same type of incident, they threw him out and sought prosecution against him.
At the casino I work for, about a third of the security staff are certified EMTs. These folks respond quickly to aid both the guests and staff with any number of health related incidents, assessing the situation and calling in ambulances or, in some cases transporting people to the hospital themselves. They are a very important part of the guest service and employee benefits at our property and my hat's off to them.

Only fall I have ever seen in Vegas happened at Ti, some years back. Setting at a row of slots an older gentleman and his wife seated to my left and then my son. Next thing I know he falls off of his seat, did not know if he had died or passed out. Got up to check on him told my son to get help. He started to come around and try to get up. Am telling him to wait for help. As I got up and knelt beside him his wife still seated and banging away on her machine, looks over and say's damn harold that is the second time you have done that today. Security showed up so we left, she evidently what you would consider a real hardcore slot lover.
