Code for first time Uber user?

Is there still a code out there for $10 or $20 discounts for first time Uber users?

Uber has taken some hits this past week. It is sad that when they offer these discounts, it isn't the company absorbing the hit or discount, it is the driver.

The good news is that the driver is paid the full 40 percent of the fare on free rides. Uber spends very little money on marketing so they pick up tab on the discounted or free rides as a way to market to first-timers.

It worked on me. Lured by a free ride up to $20, I uploaded the app prior to a business trip to Denver in May. I used it for a free ride from my hotel to business location. Then paid for return back to hotel. I was so impressed I've been using Uber (and Lyft) ever since.

40%? The drivers only get 40% now?

I get 75% of the tab here on Maui.
It has been a lot of fun but I am still pretty new at it and working around my full-time job. FYI Uber cannot pick you up at the airport, OGG, but Uber can drop you off.

That's what my friends were getting in NY. The ones in Vegas that don't have SUBs seem to be going over to Uber eats, but it's a small sample.

40 percent is incorrect. I was winging it on the percentage. 40 percent is a commission related to a different industry that was in my head. My bad. My point being that Uber drivers get their full cut on free rides. Free rides are cheap marketing for Uber.

Mine expired months ago. Got it in the mail.
If the drivers don't get dinged on the fare,they may have a code for you.
Look for the big "U" on the lower left of the windshield.
