The muslim girlfriend or fiance is an activist with the Black Lives Matter movement. Of course Billy Ryan doesn't believe that fact has one ounce of influence on this guy. His blood mother (not the woman who raised him) has also tweeted that he is wrong.
But he might be engaged to a Muslim girl. Surely he can see how sinister that is.

What about her involvement as an activist with Black Lives Matter? Don't pull a Forkie and only give partial facts. You are better than that.

I think there is an American flag sticker on the back of all 49er's helmets. If he won't stand up for a song that honors that flag, how could he possibly wear any uniform that has the flag on it?
I wonder what the parts of the national anthem we no longer sing say? Don't you? Could the reason for his protest be found in the 3rd verse?

On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner, O! long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country, should leave us no more?
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave,
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

O! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation.
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the Heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: 'In God is our trust.'
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave![
Liberals are all about free speech, as long as they agree with your speech. Otherwise, they're not so fond of free speech.
"There I was, the black grandson of a slave, the son of a black sharecropper, part of a historic occasion, a symbolic hero to my people. The air was sparkling. The sunlight was warm. The band struck up the national anthem. The flag billowed in the wind. It should have been a glorious moment for me as the stirring words of the national anthem poured from the stands. Perhaps, it was, but then again, perhaps, the anthem could be called the theme song for a drama called The Noble Experiment. Today, as I look back on that opening game of my first world series, I must tell you that it was Mr. Rickey’s drama and that I was only a principal actor. As I write this twenty years later, I cannot stand and sing the anthem. I cannot salute the flag; I know that I am a black man in a white world. In 1972, in 1947, at my birth in 1919, I know that I never had it made." - Jackie Robinson
