Uh, sightseeing is legal in Clark County and prostitution is not? Just a wild guess.
Pls look at the original post mrmarcus, Kay stated to take the client to a LEGAL brothel. Hence by defination it would have to located in a county where prostitution is legal.
Uh, please learn to think logically about a problem, Chef.
The casinos are located in Clark County; the brothels are not. Prostitution is illegal in Clark County, but this prohibition would be meaningless (and impossible to enforce) if those services could be
sold in Clark County but delivered elsewhere.
If not, we would routinely see these types of player rewards offered and advertised. In fact, the casinos would own brothels outside the County limits.
If KayPea's fantastic tangent was reality, any number of crimes would be excused if the entire crime was not commited within a single jurisdiction. In those Counties where prostitution is allowed, it is regulated, and probably unlawful unless the entire transaction occurs within that jurisdiction. For example, a "branch office" in Los Angeles would probably violate ordinances in the home County in Nevada, as well as Nevada State law.
Based on this above info. Isn't it illegal for a casino to solicit/com me a flight, hotel room, "gambling money/free play", food and alcohol? I live in the state of California (Orange county). I know for a fact that gambling in Orange county is illegal. Yet, they are soliciting me. To "sell" this in Orange County, California would be illegal...even more so, a felony since it's over interstate lines. I've been given these offers for Laughlin, Vegas, Reno, and Atlantic City.
I've also been told that California law makes it illegal to "comp" an alcoholic drink, which is why indian casino's must charge for alcohol (this is according to the bar manager at Pechanga). Assuming this is true, the above offer has now violated two laws.
I'm sure many of the major casino's have deals with many businesses in Nevada. Why not have a partnership with a brothel. Even if the casino would have to foot the bill, I'm sure it's a lot cheaper than some of the other outrageous expenses casinos spend on their high rollers.
My 2 cents
