Computer illiterate, needs simple solution

Malwarebytes is free and can run with adaware and antivirus. You need all 3. I use AVG free antivirus

Check out eBAY for external portable hard drives.

You could probably save $25 or so for a 500 gb drive. Occasionally, "deals" have them as low as $50 for a full Terrabyte drive.
