Based upon the narrative and the photographs in the Washingotn Post article cited by pjstroh, the only indications of violence were a charred Confederate flag, an old White woman who received a bloody nose, and an ancient White elder who was slugged.

As poor old DonDiego has already noted he finds the brewhaha over the Confederate Flag a sideshow intended to rile folks who don't think very hard on either side of the "issue". However, it seems the violence at this rally was inflicted upon the Confederate Flag and those who support flying it.

For the record DonDiego holds no truck with either the KKK or The New Black Panther Party and their ilk. DonDiego pretty much gets along with anybody and he trusts those who don't get along with him to keep their distance.
