I would bet thousands on that not happening. The current line is Trump -140, Cruz +200, Kasich +450, Ryan Not on the Radar.

But if anyone wants to take Ryan on a friendly bet with even odds, I'd be more than happy to take your money.

Who else would it be then? Trump is going to likely lose Wisconsin as Walker, Priebus and Ryan all have their fingers on the scale in that state. This will make it more difficult for Trump to win the nomination outright even if he does well in the remaining races. Priebus and various members of the establishment are now openly and publically advocating for a contested convention. It looks to me like that is where we are going, so other than Ryan can you name anybody else it could possibly be?” I note in one story I read today they are using the terminology, “The least establishment establishment guy,” to promote Ryan.

I think the VP slot is more or less reserved for somebody that will appease the base's butt hurt, and I think that person will likely be Ted Cruz.
It will either be Trump on the first ballot or Cruz on a subsequent one. Trump and Cruz will team up before they allow Ryan to weasel in.

After a first ballot, neither Trump nor Cruz will control the majority of the delegates pledged to them. The two of them could marry on the stage but most of their delegates will be gone.
Trump screwed up by concentrating on votes and didn't lock down the delegates. He thought he'd get 1270, heck, he thought he would run the table and didn't follow through.
Cruz is just as worried. The Party hates him.The support he is getting is to stop Trump, not to nominate him. It disappears as quickly as it appeared.
Although malibber2 provided no reference to the claim that "Charles Koch has spoken" and designated the Republican-Nominee, the Huffington Post has reported just such a story : Charles Koch Is Privately Committed To Getting Paul Ryan Nominated In Cleveland: Source.

Well, . . . if one cannot trust Source, whom can ones trust ?

The Huffington Post, which shows up on Google as the top and eldest link regarding this story, does include denials from an identified human being, "people", and "one associate":

********quote*****
Mark Holden, general counsel for Koch Industries, told Huff[ington ]Post the claim was “completely false.”
“Let me be clear, we never have advocated for a specific candidate in a presidential primary, and we have no plans to do so now,” Holden said.

People close to Ryan continue to insist publicly that he has no interest in the nomination. And one associate of the speaker said he “guarantees” there has been no conversation with Charles Koch about the possibility, “because Paul has not had any conversation about it. He won’t engage any conversation about it.”
*****endquote*****

Bookmakers' incomes depend on posting odds which yield them a net profit. Apparently the bookmakers and the punters haven't yet got the word.
If one trusts the Huffington Post's "Source" and malibber2 one can still get 10/1 odds on Representative Paul Ryan.

Current Odds from paddypower.com :

D. Trump______5/6

T. Cruz________15/8

J. Kasich_______13/2

P. Ryan________10/1

M. Romney_____100/1

Daggumit DonDiego, You're ruining my potential sucker betting pool.

Four out of five oligarchs agree, Paul Ryan is adequate.

It doesn’t matter if Donald Trump or Teddy Cruz gets the most votes, you are getting Paul Ryan like it or not. How dare you have the nerve to think that you lowly foot soldiers get to pick the nominee.

I am guessing every one of you will feign indignation at the suggestion, but a few days after it happens the bulk of you will be on board and ready to carry Ryan’s water for the Koch brothers.

Honestly, I'd take Ryan over the current crop of every single person running. Althouhg Kasich doesn't seem that bad either.
Lighten up, Francis.

I'll bet you $20 Paul (Eddie Munster) Ryan is not the 2016 Republican Nominee.

Prediction #2: Boiler will never develop a sense of humor.
I attended the Kasich event last night. It was incredibly low key. The Gov. came off more Professorial than Presidential.
At an event where it was almost 100 percent his supporters, he spent far too much time reciting his resume. I think he lost some votes last night.

malibber2 would point Don Diego to breitbart for a conservative take on the issue:

On the the heels of new reports indicating Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) could likely emerge as the GOP nominee should the “#NeverTrump” clique keep Donald Trump from getting 1,237 delegates outright, the American victims of illegal alien crime are now speaking out against the possibility of a President Ryan.

Politico which leans right also had story on this yesterday.
