Consumer Electronics Show January 10-13, 2012

Thought I'd do a roll call to see if anyone is planning to go to CES this year. I'm going with a company that I'm working with and they are dong a contest for an all-access pass for Friday, January 13 and thought I'd pass it along to you all.

Contest jargon from Portable Sound Labs (https://www.portablesoundlabs.com/):

CES is gadget geek heaven and PSL is offering one winner the chance to see the magic. The winner will receive an all access pass for Friday, January 13...be the first kid on your block to experience the cool stuff CES has to offer (plus, major bragging rights to pull on all your geekiest friends).

This does NOT include airfare, hotel, gourmet foodstuffs, tickets to see that Beatles Cirque du Soleil show, partying with Paris Hilton, or any variation of “making it rain.” However, you will get a special pass, a full blown schwag bag including an iMainGo XP, iMainGo 2 and other goodies, plus a sit-down meeting with the PSL head honchos as they walk you through the awesome products they’re debuting.

Entering is easy…go to their Facebook page, like ‘em and enter your deets.

Hope to see you there!
I'll be there with bells on.... Ok, not really wearing bells, but it this trip will mark my 8th time to CES and 21st trip to Vegas.

I own a small one person computer shop and I'm taking a vacation now that the X-mas rush has passed.
I like the CES parties.. I am going to only 3 this year, all free ( see I am already WINNING in Vegas).

Griffin Tech party at Riveria
MASHBASH VIP Pass at 1 OAK @ Mirage
CES TWEETUP @ Space Quest Bar at LVH

The wife has a client that is involved in the show, exhibit I think. Anyway, we are going up tomorrow (tues.) probably just for the day but if I can talk her into it we will stay the night.
So I should have time to wander around the exhibits. I have never been to anything like this, what should I look for? what are some must see things?
I would love to be there.

Those geeks play a lively game of poker, you betcha.

You can recognize them at the table by their pocket protectors, and cocktail choices. (Grasshoppers, Hurricanes, Watermelon Marguerita's, etc. Drinks with fruit. )

The poker rooms should be crowded after show hours.
