Cool storm!

Sitting, 35th floor and watched this storm roll up from the south end of the valley. One minute it was down on the other side of the mt.range, and boom,it was rolling on this side. The lin was so clearly defined, straight as a rulers edge. Then some lightening strikes started, not huge, but still way cool. Have a lttle rain but its almost over now.

Just thought id give you guys a little weather update from our suite here at PHo towers while enjoying a cold sam adams, life is pretty rough here.

JOHN
Enjoy John.

Haha! That storm worked it's way up here to So.Utah and now my car's clean!!! Even saw an awesome rainbow coming thru the God Rays with the black clouds as a backdrop. Wish I could've taken a picture but was driving!Glad you're having an awesome time in LV
Pictures would help.

Pics will come when i get home snidely(and all). Wish we couldve taken pics of the lightning, but those suckers are pretty quick. I have to admit,we are the worlds worst at picture taking. We have it with us but never remember to take the darn things. Weve actually taken a few vaca's before and never taken a single pic and from lack of camera. Its still lightning here and i guess a couple places did get whacked from it today. Heard that on the news.
Well, well, . . . well, . . . it must be nice to watch a storm from the comfort of one's 35th floor room.

Meanwhile, poor old DonDiego is trying to navigate down a flooded Eastern Avenue on his way with teechur to a Mexican restaurant on Tropicana. (teechur needs to ingest some Mexican cuisine when in the West, as the quality of southwestern food in Appalachia is lacking.)
The rain is relentless and an occasional downpour is blinding, . . . one is barely able to see the lane markings; and the right-lane is flooded all the way; and all the intersections are flooded; and drivers in high-wheeled vehicles just plow into the standing water dowsing all nearby automobiles and pedestrians and endangering themselves and others. And the lightning is less attractive down here at ground level when it arrives simultaneously with the thunder.

But, . . .never fear, . . . DonDiego successfully found a path on lesser known roads to his destination. And the targeted restaurant is closed; apparently a victim of the current economic turn-down, . . . and already vandalism is apparent in the busted out and boarded windows.

But, . . . once again overcoming adversity, . . . DonDiego makes his way to the Palace Station. teechur and he had some years previously enjoyed the Mexican offerings at Cabo in Santa Fe Station and DonDiego has learned there is now a Cabo at Palace Station.
The meal, although ingested at least 90 minutes later than originally planned is excellent. teechur and DonDiego are both satisfied. Sleep comes easy this night.

But now, as the morning grows long, DonDiego must make his way to the Las Vegas Hilton for a hard day's work handicapping Week 5 of the NFL.
DonDiego wishes all "Good Day !"

Great rainshower overnight up here on the beautiful Central California coast!! Smells great.
Sitting here at work on Park Avenue,
I just spritzed myself w/ my plant mist-er so I could feel "part of"...
Sorry to hear of your plight there DD, me and my scooter have had a tad bit of difficulty as weel navigating between all the 20somethings here at. PH this past weekend, it was quite hairy at times. Fortunately they a,re pretty much gone and i have perservered.

I just noticed your post. I was also in Vegas same time as you. We were watching the storm from the 15th floor of the Mandalay Bay facing the west. I took 3 videos with my iphone4. They are about 2-4 minutes each. It was pretty awesome, it rained a bit but not much. We were headed to the Aria for dinner at Julian Serrano's then Crystals for window shopping. While my girl was getting ready, I was taking videos of the storm
