My little Indiana town has a couple of top notch high school quarterbacks. The junior is ranked by some as the best quarterback in the nation for his class, and the sophomore is near as strong. I played golf with the younger boy's grandfather yesterday and I learned that last week the two boys were called to the principal's office. They were told to leave there phones, and to next report to the athletic directors office. When they walk in, there stands Andrew Luck, TY Hilton, Coby Fleener, plus two more wide receivers.
Since Colts players are not allowed to practice at this time of year at team facilities, they needed a place to throw and catch. Our school has the same synthetic turf as the Colts, and it's nearby, so here they were. The two boys and six Colts practiced for about two hours. Luck also worked on throwing mechanics with each of the boys. They said that after goofing around for a few minutes, it was all business tweaking patterns and timing.
They enjoyed themselves.
