Coolers forbidden at the Red Rock Casino

If they have this policy, they certainly don't enforce it. It's not even discrete....many times you'll see coolers on bellman's carts traipsing through the casino. This is particularly true on the weekends when the kids are in from Cali.

I think the only two places where I've seen more coolers on parade was at Circus-Circus and Excal.

My friend and her husband stayed at Aliante a few weeks ago. When they got into town, they went across the street to CVS and bought a small cooler, along with soda and water. No problem having it in their room. It's in my garage now, awaiting their next trip, lol.
Mark one with the words "Medical waste" and see how that goes. If asked, it's for your spent syringes from your insulin prescription.

We had a thread a while back on this forum where somebody posted a story about how the Hard Rock was so strict, they wouldn't even let people with drinks on the elevators. The purpose of this was they believed people could take back alcoholic drinks to minors in their rooms. I don't know if any of this is still enforced. I will search for the thread.

[EDIT] The thread was started by me. I got the story from the Question of the Day on the Las Vegas Advisor. Here is the link.

In my two trips to the rr, I've had a cooler each time and no one ever said anything. Bellman brought it up to the room.
at the elevator lobby at Encore there was a sign that said you could not bring any outside food or beverages up to your room. It also said that security could inspect your bags if they were so inclined. I thought the signage was rather tacky, but the policy would not preclude my staying there again. the 6th floor room I got with the spectacular view of the air conditioning units might keep me away though
I'm pretty sure Wynn has the same policy
I usually use a bell man and have the cooler carried up with my luggage. I never carry it to the check in line. I don't know if that makes a bit of difference at any of these places, but a bell man wants a tip, and unless he is told to bring up NO coolers, then I doubt he will tell you he can't take it.
It's probably just as many things go,it all depends who's working at that time. I learned a long time ago,if i'm not getting anywhere with somebody, i leave and return later and get a completely different result.

Typical now-a-days Vegas experience; dealing with the gauntlet of valet, bellman and front desk employees who expect a tip for the services they get paid to do. Then enter your room and check to see if it is clean and free of bedbugs. Look but don't touch the overpriced snacks, water and minibar. Don't you have the audacity to bring a cooler to keep your items cool. Of course if you need a refrigerator, it will be furnished for an obscene fee. Head for the casino and play the 6/5 blackjack, the lowered payback slots and video poker. After taking a beating, go and get something to eat at the overpriced restaurants while you enjoy the dining experience- don't forget the tip. After a few days of this, check out, pay your bill with the ever present gouging "resort fee". Add to this listing the airfare with the baggage and other asinine fees, overpriced car rental charges with multiple taxes, inflated taxi fares with the long hauling. All of this and more - Ah, the Vegas experience!
