Cops Shot In Encinitas, CA

2 Sheriffs Dept deputies have been shot in Encinitas, Ca. I was about 3 exits below the shooting meeting one of my guys to pick up some court filings.

When I got to Carlsbad, CA all I could hear was sirens coming from all over. As I exited Palomar Airport Rd. there were 4 Carlsbad Police vehicles gong in the opposite direction to the southbound freeway. Further down the road I saw 2 unmarked Suv's hit their lights and sirens and headed for the freeway.

Looks like this Dorner situation has really shook up the cops and they go on full alert no matter where the shooting took place. I heard on the radio that police were pouring in from the south even though....according to the radio....that they had 50 patrol cars already at the scene. What an overreaction.
If a 51st car was available, they should have sent that too. A massive overwhelming response tends to be safest for the cops - and even for the bad guys.
Meanwhile, crime escalated while the area was totally unprotected. I guess it would be too much to expect for two police cars ,much less one, to be sent and arrive for the average person being involved in a shooting.
We really need to start arming police officers.

You could not payme enough to be a police officer now a days.
They are likely concerned about copy cat trigger happy nut cases.

Forget the donuts, no way I would be a cop either.
The guy wound up killing himself at his mothers house. She got a restraining order against him and he was pissed. A bullet grazed one cop and the other is still in the hospital.
