I visited the Cosmo twice last week, both times in the late morning/early afternoon time period. Unlike the Aria, you walk right from the sidewalk, into the front of the casino. The front of the casino is visually stunning. Whatever the Aria tried to do and failed, the Cosmo nailed it. The casino floor was not busy at that time of day, not many table players. There were a lot of $25 and up BJ tables (empty), but I did believe I saw a couple of $10 tables. The place was pretty subdued, no loud music or screaming obnoxious twenty-somethings; but I wouldn't expect that, given the time of day that I was there. I played some slots for about an hour last Thursday; a cocktail waitress walked up for my drink order before I had adjusted the chair in front of the machine. She came by at least twice more before I left. The CW uniforms are not that revealing, but everyone of them that I saw walking around the casino floor were very attractive. Money is right about the craps tables; they're huge. All in all, I thought the atmosphere was rather relaxing and laid back, but that could be quite different later in the day or on a weekend when the young So. Cal crowd overruns the Strip like a Viking hoard(looting and pillaging). Their buffet is on my agenda for my Spring visit; I'll have to check the casino out later in the day to see if the vibe of the casino is different. I would like to play some table games there, if I can find some with $10-15 minimums. My first impressions of this place are favorable overall...just my two cents worth.
