cosmo observations

We visited the Cosmo on our trip this past weekend (we did not stay here however)

The place has a "cool vibe", everyone from BJ dealers, drink servers and waiters were super super friendly and nice. More so than anywhere my wife and I have been before. They played great music and at a very comfortable volume. (they did mention when they first opened they had the volume blarring in the craps area and had had some speaker control problems)
We had 3 different BJ dealers and they were the best we had at any other property on our 4 day stay. Won alittle at slots and BJ but gave it back and some more at craps.
Really liked the idea of the "single serve" portions at the buffet. Hopefully it will cut down on the food wasted that happens at all buffets. Many choices and all very good.

I would give them a wonderful thumbs up and hopefully will get a few offers for discounted stays. It is worth your time to give them a visit.
What are single serve portions? Is the buffet not self serve? And what was the lowest BJ limit? 25.00?
that is the most visually stunning casino I have ever seen.

The Wraparound Terrace suites are incredible

All employees I encountered on the property were very welcoming. Not like at Encore where I have felt in the past like they are trying to judge whether my wallet is fat enough for me to be on their property

I really like the Chandelier bar as well. Each level has it's own specialty cocktails menu.

They have many of the items in a "small skillet or bowl". You can take more than say one skillet of blackened salmon if you wish. You do wander the buffet as you wish and get as many of anything as you wish. Items seemed fresher and hotter the way they were doing it.

The BJ Super Bowl Sunday evening they did have $15 tables. When were back on Tuesday I think $15 was still the minimum tables. Very well could have been some $10 and I just missed them.

We found both Bellagio and Aria had many $10 tables which surprised me.

they had a $10 craps table going on Saturday night!!! there was no room on it, but it was $10. the others were $15 and one $25 table
I REALLY hate $15 minimum craps tables.

tyler, I hate $15 also. it is one of the most confusing to play at. payoffs are confusing, presses are confusing, money management is confusing. I guess its because I started at $10 and have always thought about increments in $10 (or $25).
Thanks for the report! More and more I am liking this place and I have not set foot there. Can't wait till Sept.
Sheltie, I only hope that you are as blown away as I was by the hotel, staff, and the amazing terrace rooms!!! It was waaay more than I expected. Can't wait to return.
