Cosmopolitan class action settlement

Most class action lawsuits are "money grabs" by attorneys. The people rarely get much in the way of compensation. Sounds like the Cosmo settlement might be different.
I got money from a few class action settlements.
Sylvania head lights.
Star Kist Tuna.
Craftsman lawnmowers.
Slick 50.

Not as much as the Cosmo fiasco.
I just got a check from EMS Settlement from a class action suit of 1.25 million dollars.
It came from automated telephone calls that I got after July 31st,2009.
The bottom line is don't toss those class action notices that you get in the mail.

The check is for $98.40.
WHEEEEEE! Free money.
Time for a beer.
I just checked what I'm owed on the Ticketmaster class action at https://www.ticketmaster.com/member/vouchers, and I'm getting 17 free pairs of tickets to Ticketmaster and Live Nation events. I'm also getting 17 vouchers for $2.25 discounts, which I'm not quite as excited about. Apparently I maxed out; 17 pairs of free tickets is the maximum allowed per person under the settlement.

They haven't yet posted any eligible events yet. I'll bet they won't be offered on any events that are close to selling out, and they are for the cheapest seats in the house. I have to use them within about four years, which shouldn't be an issue.
