Coupons and new slot machines

Just got back from Vegas and one thing about using the LVA coupon book is that some casinos will try and get you to pay more than your half. All over the magazines, it is advertised that all Station Casinos have lowered there price at $4.99 breakfast, $7.99 lunch, and $9.99 dinner. I had dinner at the Palace Station $9.99 BOGO free, same at Red Rock, but at Sunset, I was told I had to pay the full price at $14.99 when the advertised price at Sunset states $9.99, because I was using a coupon, and no discount using you players card.
I also went to the Eiffel Tower and the price before, don't remember before 5 or 6 it's $9.95. We got there early and were charged $14.99 the full price. I also notice the prices at Mirage has gone up about $5, Rio about $3, Harrahs also about $4, most casinos have gone up. You can also tell that there are no new penny slot machines. They say it's a penny machine, but the minimum to play will start at $.40. The new Ghostbusters is $.50, Lord of the Ring, $.40 or $.50. Grease $.60, Michael Jackson $.40 etc.
Sounds like it is a good idea to ask a few questions before using a coupon. Thanks for alerting us.
I agree, the penny slots are not penny slots any longer. I usually end up on the older slots as my dollar goes a little further and I can play longer.

Just my opinion.
"Buyer Beware"

At least you're keen enough to know of the price changes made in the games,
buffets and attractions, so you can at least make a decision to choose or not.

With many people, these price nuances are not noticed.

Good on your part.

Hate those new slots that you can't select lines and coins per line. Plus you're left having to cash out the below minimum bet.

We've had some pretty good luck on those 40 cent penny slots. They are a lot of fun. Hangover, Grease, Dirty Dancing, Sex in the City... They are all good to us and fun to play.
Hey Now!
played Handover at Revel..
my son said to try it- lots of bonuses and I actually came out ahead.

At Revel and most casinos is costs 2 cents a line minimum per game. So, if you play all 4 games, it's $3.20 a spin. But, at Borgata it's a penny per line and costs you $1.60 per spin. Of course, all the payouts at Borgata are cut in half.
Why would anyone want to bet less then .50 anyways? Even when you hit bonus on those machines(if you do)....you really arent winning anything substantial.

The only decent new slot I saw was Aristrocrat Allstars, which paid decent at times if you got the bonus. Besides the AA machine just more machines with new themes, great graphics and sound, really crappy paytables, and low and infequent bonus rounds. AKA pretty much garbage.
