I thougfht this was pretty hilarious because it's such an obvious BS scammer reply. I'm selling my pellet stove and this was one of several second times contacting me.

I got a stupid message from one of these people telling me they are definitely going to buy the couch I had for sale, and if I took it off Craigs list, they would pay me an extra $50. They said an "agent" would come by to pick up the couch. I wrote them back that they are a total scam and don't bother me any longer. What a joke!

What ever happend to people getting off their tushes and showing up in person to buy the goods. I too got those quirky responses. Recently I built a core i5 (quad core) computer so I sold my dual core computer on Craigslist for $70. The guy showed up 15 minutes after I placed the ad and he bought it for $60. Thereafter, I got all kinds of crazy responses asking me to ship the computer or to take down the ad and sell it on some other site, yada, yada, yada.

Selling an item online or through any third party where a potential buyer suggests you paying the shipper is a scam that has been around for years. They end up getting your item and some of your cash.

My guess is jatki99 knows of PayPal. He replied back just to mess with the person.

That would be my guess. I am also guessing just a few of us get sarcasm.

I usually get sarcasm. maybe I just didn't read the whole post or something. But I honestly thought that there was an adult in 2012 who didn't know what PayPal was.

But some don't get quips. lol

i thought he hadnt heard of paypal as well. i get sarcasm, but i didnt see any in that post. must have overlooked it.
