Cruise...Anyone ever cruise the Pride

Carnival Pride that is. I know, I know its a Vegas board. But we will be doing a cruise this year. Our first in a very long time.

Any suggestions?
Though Carnival often gets a bad rap I have cruised with them several times and enjoyed each cruise. . My brother and his wife sailed the Pride this past November and though this was their first cruise they were very impressed with the overall experience. Only suggestion is to go with an open mind and have a great time.
Thanks frugal fan! It will be my brother and SIL's first cruise we are going with them in a few weeks. He was diagnosed with ALS and it is on his bucket list. I was hoping some one would know something. Thank you for answering my question
Sheltie - try looking at the numerous reviews on this site. I've found them to be very helpful with finding out about the cruise lines we've used, and the reviews are less biased than what you might find on a Carnival based site. You'll see both pro & con comments to draw your own conclusions from. Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks mistrhia
When we first discovered Vegas ten years ago, we tried to go two times a year. However, following our first Carnival four night Bahama cruise on the Sensation five years ago, we have re-worked our vacation budget to allow for a trip to Vegas each year (around Labor Day) AND a Carnival Cruise in February or March. That's how much we enjoyed that first cruise, and every cruise thereafter. They are heavenly.
Thanks vegasholic. We are still planning to go to Vegas this year too.
I've had nothing but good things to say about Carnival. I've taken their Mexican cruise 3 times, and their Western Caribbean cruise once. Only problem is the low payouts in the casino, but you're their for entertainment so who cares. Wish I was going with you!
Maybe its just me, but doesn't the "Pride" sounds like a gay ship?
We've been on the Pride twice & are going on it again the end of this month. The first time was
years ago & a new ship. The food was so bad I wrote a letter. Second time was last year and was
one of the best of our 14 cruises. The food was fabulous. I choose Carnival because all of their
cabins are the same size (except suites) no matter what price cabin you buy. The least expensive
are lower on the ship, the same size as the ones higher up and on a rolling ship, lower is better.
I think Carnival does a great job appealing to everyone. I took my Mom in a wheelchair, and they
accomedated her beautifully. Hope this helps. I'm sure you will have a wonderful time.
