Recently, I was changing planes at the Miami airport & while looking for my flight I noticed on the departures board an American Airlines flight departing for Havana, along another third world airline.
I was also wondering how you got to Cuba as I thought it illegal but being Canadian answered that. I went to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (GITMO) when I was in the navy many years ago and remember thinking how nice the country was (looking) and I also remember seeing crabs crawling around on the ocean floor while looking down from the ships deck. The water was ultra clear. I also remember seeing the fence where they shot at you if you went passed it Thanks for sharing
15 plus years ago there used be an annual regatta from Florida to Cuba. I participated 3 different times. The trick then was that each individual had to be fully hosted. That is, you were not allowed to spend any money in Cuba. The longest I spent there was a week. It was a fantastic experience. Later it became too hard to obtain the permits and permission so participation fell till its ultimate demise.
