The D

Just wondering has anyone been inside the place recently?

I know that as well as renovating the casino they are also redoing the rooms.

Will be there in September and plan on giving it a look.
Lots of posts in the "Downtown" forum for paid subscribers.
was there 6/14 to 6/19 music a little loud on fri and sat drink service at the slots alot slow. table drink speed pretty good. I got an old room was told new rooms was $30 more a night. the new long bar is a great place to get a drink and play some DDB poker.
I stayed there in May. Music on the first floor was WAY to loud for my tasted especially at 11 am. Also it was rap crap. The upstairs is retro older machines some coin droppers and the music is quieter and older Motown type music I agree the cocktail service was bad. I tried to get water for over an hour.

They were installing new carpet in the check in area it looked nice.

The room was basic but clean.

I spent one night there in April - my room was not yet renovated. It was cheap, clean, and not much else.

The casino is trying hard to appeal to a younger crowd but their customers have not figured that out yet. After dinner the place turns into a Rave club but the people inside were mostly Lawrence Welk types. I found it quite amusing.

The casino is as loose as ever - one of the best downtown for VP, slots, and low limit tables.
What is the "D", the old Fitz?
Sorry about that. Yes, the Fitz is now called the D.
