Dangerous areas to park

These are neighborhood, not the casino areas. Three of the top ten neighborhoods where cars are stolen are located in Las Vegas.

Top ten
Technically it is three out of the top five in this list of ten, are in Las Vegas.
And those 3 are ALL in the same neighborhood, within a few blocks of each other. It's the "West Las Vegas" area which, while organizations are working on urban renewal projects, unfortunately remains a low income/high crime area. There would be absolutely NO reason for a non-resident of the area to be in that neighborhood.

Perhaps someone on this board could make a wager with someone else on this board concerning an extended stroll through the neighborhood.

Would that be with or without twenties sticking out of one's pockets?

If you were tossing some of those twenties or some nice drugs out of your pockets, I would think folks would be ignoring you for awhile.
Check out the violent crime rates in those LV areas. Living a year in #2 area you'd have a 1 in 6 chance of having a stolen car and 1 in 7 chance of being a victim of violence. The other LV areas have similar violent crime rates.
You don't understand what I wrote. Those 3 so-called "areas" are all part of the same general neighborhood. They are within blocks of each other. Just don't go there.
Ghetto Walk Time!
I don't see why someone who is from out of town would even be in those neighborhoods. I know the area fairly well as I do a lot of driving when I am out in the Vegas area and I can't think of why anyone would be driving through those areas unless they are just somehow lost or are a local who lives in those neighborhoods. I don't remember anything of interest in that general area that people would go there for so just avoid the area like Sue said. Out of any city I have been to with a big population I personally feel that Vegas is one of the safest bigger cities that I go to. It has its bad areas just like any other major city, but just avoid those areas.
