DC football team name not so offense?

Seems the ones most upset about the whole issue is the PC crowd, which is not surprising.

Poll: 9 in 10 Native Americans do not oppose 'Redskins' name

Washington's NFL team name has been the source of controversy for decades, a controversy that's ramped up in recent years as groups on multiple fronts have protested the use of the name 'Redskins.' A new Washington Post poll has brought the question surging back to the fore with a definitive finding: 9 of 10 Native Americans do not have a problem with the name.

The poll, conducted by SSRS on behalf of the Washington Post, surveyed 504 Native Americans, a sampling that included respondents in every state and the District of Columbia, over a five-month period that ended in April, and included respondents from a wide range of demographic classes. The poll found that 7 of 10 Native Americans did not find the term "Redskin" disrespectful, and 8 of 10 said they would not be offended if called that name by a non-Native American. Nine out of 10 Native Americans said the name "does not bother" them.

Poll: 9 in 10 Native Americans do not oppose 'Redskins' name

Senator harry Reid [D-NV], 19 May 2016: "A single poll does not change the facts. Indian tribal leaders, Native American organizations .?.?. have spoken out against the racist, offensive name.”

So, a 2004 Annenberg Public Policy Center found that 90% of native Americans do not find the Washington Redskins name offensive.

And now, in 2016, a Washington Post finds that 90% of native Americans do not find the Washington Redskins name offensive.

But wait ! On 19 May 2016 The US Senate Minority Leader, Harry Reid [D-NV] spoke:
"A single poll does not change the facts. Indian tribal leaders, Native American organizations .?.?. have spoken out against the racist, offensive name.”

Looks like somebody's gotta run another poll, . . . until they get it right.

Sure, ask all the bleeding heart, PC crowds if they think it's racist or offensive. Doesn't actually matter what those who are supposed to be offended think.
Don't they have more important things to worry about? Rather than a mascot and team name! Harry Reid needs to get the hell out, too old and senile obviously.

A recent poll indicates Harry Reid's name is not offensive.
"A single poll does not change the facts...."
Next comes book burning.
It is much easier to create issues like this than focus on the high rates of drug use, alcoholism, murder, suicide and low graduation rates.

For the record:

__DonDiego opposes high rates of drug use personally.

__DonDiego opposes high rates of alcoholism personally.

__DonDiego opposes committing murder personally.

__DonDiego opposes suicide personally.

__DonDiego would like to see improved education followed by high graduation rates. He expects to see neither; if he were to see only one he'd expect it to be higher graduation rates, just because of the "optics".

*None of the above personal preferences are to be interpreted as objecting to the personal behaviors of others.
*Oh, and as always DonDiego supports enforcement of all Laws on the books, . . . or removal of those Laws not being enforced.
