If you were SL'd, or know anyone who may have been stop-lossed in the military since 2001, the deadline for applying for the SL bonus is March 4th.
People who were stop=lossed are eligible for a one time bonus of $500 per month for the time the duty was extended. This means some 145,000 troops are eligible and the average bonus is around $3800.
Less than sixty percent of eligible people have applied yet. The military is trying to track down all those who are eligible, but many young people are no longer at the addresses they provided when they enlisted or were seperated.

Please pass this along to anyone who might be eligible.
