Democrat Convention Begins Today

I know many of you are allergic to facts, but cops are not being killed at a record pace.this year. Not even close.
In what year were more cops murdered than the current pace of 120?

This was posted on Fox News web site earlier today:

However, data from the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund shows that firearms-related deaths of officers in the line of duty are still lower than they were during previous decades like the 1970s.

"Thirty-two officers died in firearms-related incidents so far this year including 14 that were ambush-style attacks, according to the report. During the same period last year, 18 officers were shot and killed in the line of duty including three that were considered ambush attacks. ...

Despite the recent high-profile shootings of police, the average number of officers shot and killed on the job is significantly lower than in previous decades. Floyd said during the 1970s, there was an average of 127 officers shot and killed yearly; during the last ten years through 2015, the average number shot and killed is 52. He cited the reduction in violent crime in recent decades and said officers have benefited from the widespread introduction of body armor and improved trauma care if they do get shot."

How does 32 in almost eight months convert to 120 in a year?
One is too many, but making up shit does nothing to forward your argument.

So does Forkie do a background check on all photos he posts? Of course not, but he expects it of others.

Remember when Swami (Forkie) predicted the Democratic Convention will be a bit more boring? Well like most of his predictions, he is way off. I expect there to be further fireworks before the closing of this thing.

Hell I remember when his thorough on-line forensic analysis proved Weiner's wiener wasn't Weiner's.

And I admitted that I was wrong.

That's what you do if you have a little class. Don't you wish you did?

No, but thanks for asking. However this is what I do.

1. I check the source. If the name of the site is hillaryistotallybitchin.com, or lockuphillarytoday.com, there's a good chance it's either run by crazies or is just a clickbait site. So I get a second opinion.

2. I Google it. Carl Sagan said “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.” So the if the claim is extraordinary, again I get a second opinion. If the claim is phony, it usually shows up in the first few google hits on a factcheck site or Snopes.

3. When I am wrong, I admit it. I've been known to just say "whoops" or "I regret the error," which are both a little snide and not the classiest way to do it. But at least I admit it.

Roulette Man, I'm pretty sure if you had done step 1 or step 2, you would have realized that your photo was a fake. Now it's time to move on to step 3.

Not that much really. But a lot compared with you, because I admit when I get facts wrong. Is that how you behave offline too? I'd hate to contemplate that.
