Dennis Hopper

OMG. I am so sad to learn about yesterday's passing of Dennis Hopper. I LOVED him in the movie "The Duel" where he was harrassed by that obnoxious truck driver.

That was Dennis Weaver (who is also gone). Good movie, though.

I think that was Steven Spielberg's very first movie.
Duel, was a 1971 made for TV movie. I had earlier, read the Short story the movie was based on, in an issue of Playboy.

So people really DO subscribe to Playboy for the articles.
Dennis would be proud you got it wrong... he was from the stoner generation.
On another note, I gave a stack of Penthouses circa 1984-1990 to the I.T. boys to peruse.. some of them are as old as those magazines (Cleaning for painting and carpeting, all new)
The girls were luscious and had hair

Forget about Dennis Hopper. According to a Chevy Chase news clip I just came accross on the net, Generalissimo Franco is still dead. Top that one !

Good Luck!

Here's the full headline Ric:

This just in from Spain: A medical team have announced that Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still valiantly holding on in his fight to remain dead.

I recall that issue but don't remember any words to read.

I have, what I believe is a copy of the first edition of Penthouse (1968).
