Dennis Miller is in Vegas this weekend!

Not funny and pretentious---not a good combo.
Dennis Miller at The Orleans

Best seats are gone for tonight's performance, . . . seats still available in back corners.

One of the reasons I'm no longer much of an NFL fan is that broadcasters think the games themselves aren't sufficient entertainment.

They think the football die-hards will watch no matter what, so to get casual fans and non-fans to watch they need to insert lots of non-football stuff.

Like Dennis Miller. And Rush Limbaugh.

And so now I'm a baseball and hockey fan.
We saw him last October and thought he was very enjoyable. We agreed with him on who he made fun of though.

He was SO not funny when he was on Monday Night Football a few years back.

He totally cracked Al Michaels up when they showed a big busted gal in the crowd and said "Those are two of my biggest fans"

Did you catch the game NFLN ran in 2004 or 5 with no broadcasters? Just had the stadium sounds + they had like 20 players and coaches mic'd up. It was interesting...I wish they would have done a few more like that.
I thought that Miller was always very funny on Saturday Night Live. I still think he's a talented comedian, just not as funny as he was when he had those great writers working for him. Alas, I believe all of those SNL writers have gone on to other ventures.

One of them is a United States Senator.

You must be referring to me, Al Franken.......

I would love to see Millers show, that would be a hoot. I catch him on Bill O every so often.
He has become everything he once decried. Is this inevitable? I don't know. I'm not smart enough to answer that question. And neither is he.

Sir Winston Churchill said something like

"when your young your a liberal, when your a grown up your a republican" This means as you age, your values change.

Note: I am NOT taking sides, mearly stating what was said decades before. If you have problems with my statement, please consult with Sir Winston.
