Detroit Lions when will the ball drop?

Apparently the NFL, counting their money, decided before the game that Dallas would win. What a pathetic penalty reversal by the refs. And I'm not even a Lions fan.....

I agree. That was a horrible reversal of the penality. Also heard this morning that one of refs was seen getting off a party bus a couple of monthes ago owned by Jerry Jones.

If games were fixed they would not wait until the last few minutes to do it. For example Whitten's hold on a Dallas TD earlier in the game would have been ignored. Detroit's poor defense after that was a bigger factor

It was strange that the call was changed after announcing the pass interference call. Normally with face guarding if there is any type of contact , (which there was in this case) a flag is thrown

Boilerman- you are wrong on this one. That penalty has been called repeatedly throughout the season, and now, suddenly, it is now not a penalty. This "non- call" reeks of the odor of a "fix". The NFL brass knows that this Dallas "win" is tainted.

These guys are pretty well scrutinized, I find it hard to believe nobody noticed it before as this would be grounds for termination

The Party Bus Conspiracy? A.K.A.: The Astroturf Knoll Conspiracy
Was the alleged Party Bus attendee the referee who reversed the call?
If not wouldn't the other refs be against the Cowboys with an attitude of "how come we didn't get to ride on the stinkin' Party Bus"? Hmm?

FWIW, I thought the original call was the right one simply because the defender clearly wasn't playing the ball.
The call reversal was bad, real bad. I'm waiting to hear the explanation from the NFL brass.
The explanation is that there wasn't enough contact for it to be pass interference, however the trend has been to throw a flag with any type of contact on a play like that, thus the confusion.

Detroit still needed to play defense and they didbn't
OMG I just saw the video of the blown call. There is no gray area, the defender never even turned around and looked for the ball.
So Melon is sticking with the face guarding argument?

90% of those on TV, including Mike Ditka on the Mike and Mike show this morning, have complained about the obvious "Face Guarding" no call, not knowing that there is no NFL rule for this type of defense. Only collage ball has a face guarding penalty.

There was no holding, no pushing, and no such thing as face guarding......thus it was a good call.

Bwahahahaha!

Milled, Google current nfl rules and you will learn that there is no longer face guarding. I've done so and you can too, if you would like to know the facts about this situation.

He doesn't have to turn his head.
