Diamond Lounges -- slot machines, table games?

I rarely make it to a diamond lounge due to the limited hours, too. I want to spend my time in the casino. But they have gotten really weak in the offerings department -- hardly worth a trip anyway.

The 7 Stars lounge that was right off the 7 Stars registration area at Caesars Palace closed, I think the end of March 2009, if my memory is correct. It was small, but beautifully decorated with a very small, but very good buffet. The butlers were friendly and gave excellent service. They even served Moet "White Star" champagne. Oh, how I miss the 7 Stars lounge!

Karen, CA law prohibits the comping of alcoholic beverages. If I remember correctly, drinks are a little less expensive in Rincon's DL. The last time I was there, I went to buy a drink for me and a friend. The bartender said, per CA statute, he was not allowed to sell me 2 drinks at a time unless the other person was with me. Also said he has to wait 20 minutes before he can serve someone another drink. I thought it was a little odd that one cannot use reward credits to pay for drinks but I saw people buy cigarettes using their reward credits in the gift shop. Not sure why state law allows one to use rewards credits to pay for one vice and not the other.

Who knows why CA does the stupid things they do, Lisa. This state is really messed up!

I was playing in the high limit area, and a host had to come over and OK the player next to me using his reward credits to pay for his drinks. Since I dont drink I never thought much of that until the above post. I also did not know about the "20 minute" rule.

speaking of booze... which is the Indian casino in So Cal that has NO booze because it is such a dangerous drive to get there?

I thought in no way shape or form can a casino comp an alcoholic beverage in California. Isnt paying with comp dollars or getting a drink for free in California is not allowed?

I, too, thought it was illegal to use comp dollars to pay for drinks. I wonder how that host got around that.

The casino with no alcohol (except for in the steakhouse) is Barona.

Morongo is 18 and up... they serve alcohol... I think Chumash is 18 and up as well and serves...


I was once at Pechanga in the Poker Room and a guy ordered food and a couple of beers... I don't remember the exact scenario but something got double charged with the drink and they couldn't take it off his credit card charge and he didn't want another drink, and the poker room manager could not do anything about it.

The last time I was at "The Bike" they offered me a meal (in the California games side) and I asked can I get a beer with it and they said no.
