Did anyone see Paranormal Activity III?

Was at a cineplex recently, and considered seeing Paranormal Activity IV. Recalled really liking the first film, and the second one to a somewhat lesser extent. Then realized that I missed the third one.

Did I miss much, and does the fourth in the series make much sense without seeing the third one first? Or third, as the case may be?

You dont miss anything...part 4 picks up where part 2 left off. Its pretty much more of the same stuff.


Part 3 goes into the past - centering on the original characters' mother.

Finally saw PA3, on EPIX, I believe (a channel I didn't even realize I had). Now the cruel irony is that I can't find PA4, at either first run or second run theaters.

Agree that I could have skipped the third installment, as it provided very early background information that isn't essential in understanding the other installments. Might have just caused confusion for me, as I couldn't keep track of which young sister was which, and couldn't correspond them to their adult characters in the other films.

Interesting that the injury that killed the sisters' stepfather, or mother's boyfriend, or whatever, was survived last year by the Bears' Johnny Knox vs the Seahawks. Not sure even Johnny Knoxville would have done as well.
