did you say "affordable health care"?

Just curious, cause ours is going up 20.1% for our workers at the living care unit where I am on the board. The policy that I have for work is giving out estimates of 16%. Great, just Frickin' great, so this is the Bullshit this clown sold all of us "working folk" and even had the balls too use the term "affordable"!

must admit we have a "real doozie" !
The repeal of this asinine "law" is the only sane solution. I still find it hard to believe that millions of misled people voted for Obeyme. Ignorance knows no limits. Thank God for the Presidential term limit of 8 years- in this case, 8 years too many. Let the healing of a sane America begin.
Anyone paying attention understood that Obama and friends were lying in an attempt to pass this terrible law. A bunch of Conservatives on this site understood, without reservation, that this would be an expensive government cluster f^%k.

Now lets talk about the Liberals on this site who have been touting this plan for years. They don't care about cost for any government giveaway plan. Wealth redistribution is the goal for this group, and if a pack of lies is required to make this happen, so be it.

Don't ever trust a Liberal Activist.
The policy you have at work has virtually nothing to do with Obamacare and it is influenced by the same set of variables that existed before Obamacare...
The ACA effects your employer paid plan by
1) Requiring a minimum set of coverages
2) requiring your insurance premiums be capped within a defined insurance company overhead

If your state did not expand Medicaid with the ACA then your insurance premiums will also include the trickle-down expenses of uninsured emergency care in your state (just like before the ACA). This is a massive cost savings to states that expanded Medicaid and a massive expense to the ones that did not. Which type of state are you in?

In any event, it is correct to say Obamacare did not solve all of the cost problems in our healthcare system. You can make an argument that a different kind of healthcare system would manage costs better. If your argument claims that pre-Obamacare was better at cost savings then you are simply wrong.

Obama said all insurance was going to go down by an average of $2,500. My premium has gone up almost 50% in 2 years. Opponents have said all along that you could not increase coverage and benefits without costs going up. Even the chief fraudster, gruber knew this was wrong, but they stayed with the lie.
Obama and all of his friends happily lied, and Chilly, Forkie, and PJ don't care. Liberals believe some lies are good. Most Republicans understood these lies long ago, yet most Liberals and Independents bought the bull shit............hook, line and sinker.

Then there was the third group..........the Liberals who knew the truth and chose to lie, understanding that most Liberals and Independents are so stupid that they would believe this crap. PJ, Chilly, and Forkie, which of these where you?
Insurance premiums are going down by 6% in Boilerman's county of residence. I left lots of space below so Boilerman can fume about how awful this is for his life.

Really? You want to throw out accusations of lies regarding the ACA? Never mind politicians lying. That's too easy. Lets review some of the whoppers told on these boards by our resident conservatives:
- Government panels decide who lives and dies
- the law was unconstitutional
- No Congress ever used reconciliation to pass legislation before
- Nobody would sign up for the plans cause nobody wants them
- Congress is exempt from Obamacare
- Obamacare hands out insurance to illegal immigrants
- The ACA forces companies to kill jobs

For 6 years I've based my arguments on statistics and written law. During that same period I've been countered by people on this board using rumors, conspiracies, and entertaining stories about their best friend' sister's former roommate who got screwed somehow. Statistics don't lie. Campfire stories often do.
Democrats intentionally made the law confusing to mask the fact that the law instituted a new tax to pay for health reform.
"It's a very clever, you know, basic exploitation of the lack of economic understanding of the American voter," Gruber said at the Honors Colloquium 2012 at the University of Rhode Island.
"They proposed it and that passed, because the American people are too stupid to understand the difference," he said at Washington University at St. Louis in 2013.

This also applies to voting for the individual mandate "penalty," as the Obama administration refers to it, rather than a "tax," as the Supreme Court ruled in 2012.

Gruber always knew a tax on expensive insurance plans would eventually grow to hit almost every insurance plan. He admitted as much in yet another video that surfaced on Friday [14 Nov]. The White House and Democrats, by the way, promised up and down that the so-called "cadillac tax" wouldn't affect most Americans.

Oh my poor PJ.....Statistics DO lie.

The biggest liars in the world are statisticians. Stats are easily skewed and translated to further ones point. I have used the power of perceived statistics many times in business to get my way. The actual numbers may be true but the presentation is the lie.
