Dinner in the sky

The Los Angeles Times had a pullout magazine devoted to Las Vegas today. On one page they highlight a new attraction titled "Dinner in the Sky". For $290 a person, diners are strapped into their seats, hoisted 180 feet into the air and served a three course meal paired with wines. There are two tables that can hold up to 22 guests each. There are a total of eight seatings from 5pm to 10pm. There is also a lounge/bar on the ground so you can have a shot or two to calm your nerves before going up. I would imagine during the summer that most people try to get reservations after dark so they can see the lights of the strip and because it may be a little cooler.

Dinner in the Sky

PFFFT!! Don't think you'd get me up there if you paid me 290 bucks.

I have to pee. uh oh.
A diaper would be a great investment if youre drinking alot up there.

This is one of the stupidest things I have heard of. Right up there with dining in the dark.
I think someone is spoofing someone.
Didn't they try this a couple years ago and discontinue it?
I saw this on tv a few years ago and it looked great.
A place in Florida has this also. I I believe the dinner is gourmet and the view is stunning.
I would give this a try in a heartbeat. There is some type of crane that holds the platform up,
with the tables and patrons. It's a once in a lifetime type of things to do...

I remember the publicity about it back then. Don't know if it ever 'got off the ground'...LOL

A little pricey for two people, but I'd try it if first hand reports are good.
The bathroom thing is an excellent point. For that kind of money and a once in a lifetime deal, I'd wanna hang out up there for several hours. I have no desire to do this but it is an excellent point.
