25 homicides in baltimore since the Grey incident amid reports the police are standing down

10? Thats way less then white on white violence has killed this year....so you must be messed up for noting it. Im, of course, using your own logic to conclude that.

I thought I saw 15, triple from 2014. All these cops getting killed does nothing to lessen tensions between nervous policemen and a nervous public.

Police Officers and and Sheriffs:
•Death rate: 18.0 per 100,000 in 2010 and up from #12 in 2008. #10 in 2010.

pj & friends like to perpetuate the myth that the police is a racist marauding mob looking to kill blacks; while in real life it is one of the most dangerous jobs in America
"Can't we all just get along?"
Famous American Philosopher
Why not try treating officers with respect instead of contempt when stopped and questioned? Cops are not hurting people who treat them with respect or did I miss that somewhere on the news.

Could it be that people hurt or killed by police typically have at least partial responsibility for their situation?

This is why anything you, or Boilerman, writes shouldn't be taken seriously.

PJ nor anyone else said anything of the kind. What they have said is cops shouldn't beat the shit out of people. Does Hoops think cops should be able to beat the shit out of people?

Most of your "contributions" to this thread have been in the vein of "well yea, but a cop somewhere else was killed". That is completely irrelevant to the issue(s) being discussed here.

Does Hoops think it's OK that an officer kicked a guy in the head, (which appeared to be hard enough to almost or did knock him out), as the man was going to the ground as the officer requested? Does Hoops think it's OK that an officer shot a guy in the back as he was running away, and then appeared to alter the evidence on the scene?

The fact that police can be killed in the line of duty is an excellent argument in situations where it might look like excessive force was used when the lives of the officers were possibly in peril. The same argument is incredibly lame when the situation is one where the officer was already in control of the situation and any threat to their safety was minimal, at best.

Let me make it perfectly clear that I believe LEO have an incredibly difficult job and the vast majority of them are decent people that are trying to make their cities better while keeping themselves safe. But if you think every single cop out their is a saint you're delusional.

I must've missed something, who got shot in the back?

I'm curious, in Fergeson people were calling for the heads of the mayor and chief of policve. Why didn't they do that in Baltimore....? Hmmm...I wonder why....?
Maybe because the Baltimore mayor wants to punish thug cops, and the mayor of Ferguson doesn't.

And remember, thug cops make the streets more dangerous for the good ones.
Jatki - I was making an exaggerated point. It doesn't change that fact that every time there is an alleged police misconduct case the liberals jump on the case without all the evidence being presented.

Conversely when police are murdered (which happens more than the above mentioned cases) they are silent
This is a concept that eludes many Liberals.

Maybe we should point to the Bundy Ranch thread on this board ....and all the respect our posters gave to law enforcement types when inbred tea-partiers pointed sniper rifles at officers enforcing the law on a thug who was convicted of breaking it.
