Do You Get Pop Up Ads With Mozzila?

I have google chrome, IE and Mozzila. The pop ups only seem to happen with Mozzilla. I'm just wondering if I downloaded the wrong Mozzilla. I read the thread about how others use popular websites as a "decoy" for the real thing.

I get ads from anything ike dating sites for Russian and Chinese women to surveys. Doesn't happen anywhere else but Mozzilla/Firefox. Does this happen to you?
It doesn't happen to me because I use Ad Blocker Plus on Mozilla Firefox.
Firefox has a built in popup blocker that should stop most of them. You can check to see if it is activated by looking at tools/options and then selecting "content", but it should be checked by default.

Flash applications can also create popups, and that may well be where yours are coming from. The add-on "Adblock plus" will block flash popups as well. You can download it at adblockplus.org. Please be aware that some sites will not allow you to participate if you have this installed, but you can quickly disable it for that site by clicking on the icon on your task bar and selecting "disable on XXX.XXX".

The other possibility is that you have have picked up some kind of adware/PUP. I'd suggest downloading Malewarebytes and running it to see what it finds.
Popup blockers are dead now that all the big sites want to run popunders. Adblock causes more problems that it is worth. A lot of the more unscrupulous sites will take a user running that and redirect him to Trojan hell.

I now see there's something else happening on certain sites I visit. For some reason certain words are getting highlighted bold, especially words pertaining to gambling.
