Do you have a budget when you go to Vegas? Do you borrow money when you run out?

Never borrow. I take a set amount and have a budget per day. I also work a second job to pay for my Vegas trips.

We take X amount. So much in cash and so much in travelers checks. I always keep kinda sorta running amount of how much i have on my person at any given time.I know if i've been winning or losing or holding my own, I can definitely tel lwhen i'm playing a table game. When my stack of chips start piling up, i'll take some and put em in my left pocket. Right pocket is for cash and considered my "atm". I'll only dig into it it twice,maybe 3 times if im really enjoying the table,for more cash.

I remember one time when i first started playing LIR. I was getting pretty hammered (alcohol wise)and was hitting hands left and right. my pocket was getting really filled up with chips and i didnt realize just how much until the dealer had to stop the game because i had pretty much all the red chips at the table. I'll never forget just scooping and scooping more and more red chips out of my pocket. When all was said and done i think i had about 400 bucks of reds. What a great memory.

Wife and I will usually check out how each of us are doing at least once a day when we're taking a break in the room. If she needs some extra,I give it to her and vice versa. If we're both down,the travelers checks in the safe are our ATM. I'm pretty sure we've always come back with some TC's left over. I remember one time we came back with some TC's and forgot to put them back in the bank,found them while packing for a later trip,YIPPEE,found money.

Exactly how I do it, 2nd job makes saving easier. Set the budget if I am on a crap streak and am getting my Ace handed to me, I stop and go do something else for the day, or at least for a few hours. I've never used an ATM in Vegas and never borrowed. I will keep it that way too.

I dont bring money to Vegas. Often I arrive with less than a hundred dollars in my pocket. Heck, Ive arrived with $40 in my pocket.

I use markers, and if necessary I can hit the ATM where my bank waives/refunds all fees.

My strategy is to bring as little to Vegas... and take as much home from Vegas.

Its happened a few times, but never enough.

Anyway... markers were a wonderful invention.

ALWAYS set a daily budget ...always seem to exceed it. (but NEVER borrow....bad karma !)

I leave my room each morning (or afternoon) with the same amount of cash and that is my budget for the day. The next day I'll refill my wallet from the room safe as much as needed to get back to the starting amount. I bring enough to start from $0 each day but that rarely happens so I end up with money left at the end of the trip as a starting fund for the next trip. Today I'm taking winnings from my wallet and putting it back in the safe to get back down to my daily budget.

I have a budget, set on a daily basis.

I don't gamble. Never have, actually.

I play lots of casino games, but I play on the cheap, at a level below what could possibly impact my financial well-being, knowing full-well that the casino ultimately holds the edge and that only a fool would play for meaningful stakes against the crushing inevitablility of mathmatical reality.

I pay a small entertainment fee to the casinos, a fee that varies from session to session, but one that in the long run provides me with lots of entertainment at a very attractive price.

If I run out of cash but want to keep playing, I go get more. But I don't gamble.

I have $250 a day to do as I please. When it goes bye bye then I'm done for the day.

anyway..........I've gone on tilt once or twice the first day a couple times in Vegas. After that,
I shut down the next day because I'm p'od with myself. then i'm okay. no budget. i just watch what i'm doing more closely. i have learned it is my $.
