The conservative approach is to have one law against the wrong. Enforce the law.

No - the conservative approach is to downsize the number of cops on the beat in the name of "small government" and then complain about the ensuing crimes that take place and how incompetent government is at enforcing the laws. Your posts are a perfect example of this disposition. And nothing embodies that philosophy more than the sequester put in place by our GOP-led Congress.

In any event - the regulatory body created by the vicious Dodd-Frank law has yielded results. And it sure makes the sour-puss Obama critics none too happy.

Your reply is completely wrong.

The conservative approach is NEVER to reduce enforcement. It is to increase enforcement by unencumbering the enforcement personnel.

I truly believe that you completely missed the point of my remarks.

The sequester I believe you are speaking of in no way reduced enforcement of our laws. That said it WAS NOT a conservative approach to getting anything accomplished and was not implemented by any sane conservatives.

In any event - The Dodd-Frank "law" has not accomplished 1/1000th of it's intent and promise. It is mired in ineffectiveness and completely failed in regards to the original topic of this thread.

Really, Hoops? Do you want me to dig up any one of the 1000 posts you authored on this board demanding the public sector cut its workforce by 10% ?

The Law enforcement agencies disagree with you...and so does math.

Financial consequences of the sequestor on law enforcement agencies
-Border security is cut by about $595 million.
-Immigration enforcement is cut by about $295 million.
-Airport security is cut by about $276 million.
-The FDA is cut by $209 million.
-The FBI gets cut by $556 million.
-The SEC is cut by $74 million.

And you can hear right from the horses' mouths on what its done to their ability to enforce laws.

FBI is losing people and falling behind on cases

Your chances of being audited by the IRS are at recent historical lows.

And if you are going to try and make the argument that shrinking the size of government is not a pillar of conservative governance ideology then I don't think there is anything left to discuss here. We'll just move on to the "point and laugh" stage.
The sequester bill was passed in 2011 when the democrats controlled the senate & it was signed by obama.

Also, in 2011 the FBI had 33,800 employees, in 2014 it has 35,100. That looks like an increase to me
