Does anyone .....

most of the new penny machines have a "theme" and fancy lights, bonus rounds and so on. Folks also like the new tech toys.

I prefer the older reel machines but do on occasion play a penny machine. the bonus rounds and such do make time go better and a bit more exciting
I agree Marc&Misti, to get the "Jackpot" you have to play max coin and that sometimes be like playing a three reel $1 machine. There are some penny machines are 90 cent max, but that is still more than the three reel quarter. The little wins on the penny slots seem to make the loss feel better.

I like the Ten Times Pay and the Triple Stars machines.

If my memory serves me correctly, this was for $2,700 (at The Orleans).

Was that 25 cents or $s?

There was an interesting story on 60 Minutes recently (I saw it last Sunday) about how IGT designs the machines, to make them addictive, and to make you think you're winning when you're not. So the old style machines, without these useful features, will all get pulled.

It was a dollar machine. I think it was 2 coin-in.

I love the new penny machines (Star Wars especially) - but the Double Diamond Deluxe machines are my favorites - hands down.
