I had an employee for two years (not a sensitive position, but still...), when he was suddenly terminated in one day. He had falsified his application, omitted a previous felony conviction (drugs).
I can't even imagine how long it takes to investigate once a red flag on an application is picked up. They'd have to follow up on it to be certain they had the correct information. God help them if they terminated someone wrongly.
