The Bookmaker chain which includes Betmaker, Bet Cris, Bet DSI and other sites, as well as an online casino and online Bingo Parlor have all go the DOJ confiscation logo when you go to log in. Some might have been removed by now.

What the heck is this country coming too? Do they have all this time on their hands since killing Bin Laden? What a waste of time.

Just so there's no confusion, here is the head of "the DOJ".

Anyone here recognize him?

What are the poker clubs that you speak of? I really miss playing online and would like to do something besides play for play money. It just isn't the same!

This is the membership poker club I belong to. In fact I won 2nd in a tourney today out of 129 players for a whopping $5. But at $19.95/month I usually make my fee back and then some.
You do not have to pay to join and win cash and prizes, but more tourneys are offered for the VIP or pay members.

I dont know why the addy above didn't show like a link, but that is it.
I should have mentioned that they have cash prizes up to $1000/game winner taking 1/2 and lots of prizes.
Did you use the http thingy at the top of your post??

No,fixed it.
thanks
The reality of this is it has more to do with money laundering than it does with gambling. When Bill First forced the online gaming sites to go off the books and basically hide deposits into and payments outgoing from U.S. residents it created a haven for the criminal elements that wanted to transfer money into and out of the US.

Say your a foreign crook and your new phishing scheme just netted you a lot of cash from U.S. Bank customers. Your only problem is the money is sitting in a US. Bank account and you can't get to it out of country without attracting a lot of attention, and worse yet the longer it sits there the more likely it will get taken back. What is an enterprising crook to do? Open a poker gaming account in the home country and have an agent open one in the US, and sweetheart the money to yourself in heads up poker. If your a terrorist and your trying to fund your sleeper cells in the US. Sweetheart them regular weekly stipends via heads up poker games. BTW it is no mere coincidence that this happening on the heals of Osama getting killed and his computers getting seized.

The President is an elected official; the Attorney General of the United States is not (basic Constitutional law).

World Poker Tour now has one of those clubs you join for $19.95 a month and it's all legal. It's advertised on "Poker After Dark" with Mike Sexton as its spokesman. Card Player magazine also has a similar "club" for the same price called "Spade Club".

I suspect most of those poker magazines will go broke as they can't generate enough in memberships to replace the lost income from the big poker sites.

Considering they poped both FT and Stars, I would figure most folks are very gunshy about what the DOJ is planning on doing next.
